The publicist and screenwriter Róbert Kövessy directed a documentary on the 80’s legendary Hungarian punk band, the CPg’s, which stands for Come on Punk Group. (Róbert Kövessy is also known for his other works, such as the “Budapest girls - Pesti lányok”.) The movie itself, The Punks of Pol Pot County sums up the troubled and divisive history of the punk band in the socialist Hungary. The Pol Pot boys were one of the most reactionary and crude group of musicians at the time. They were the youngsters of Hungary’s Csongrád County, whose songs and lyrics acted as naive social criticism within that era. Later on, members of the group were sentenced for two years. In the movie writers, journalist and musicians of the era analyse the CPg phenomenon.
